Someone actually wrote a book on song lyrics being misinterpreted. I forget the title, but the most memorable of them is from Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, wherein quite a few people, instead of hearing, "'scuse me while I kiss the sky", heard "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy." You psychology types can read whatever you want into that, but if you think about it, it's plausible.

And coming off the Beatles tangent from the previous thread, Baby You're a Rich Man is one of the more famous examples, as is John reportedly saying "I bury Paul" in Strawberry Fields Forever and such. I could go on for hours, but I won't.

While we're on the Beatles tangent, might I just say that my last name is mentioned in one of the songs? I think that's really neat.And no, I don't mind that you don't care. Not that you asked. @:^)
