Subject: Is there anything planned for Towel Day in LA??? ( 1 of 6 ) Posted by Perilous Is anyone getting together in the Los Angeles area on 25 May for Towel Day? I, like many others who have posted here have said also, seem to be the only one in my own little universe who has been so affected by the loss of this man who was such an important figure to the world. However, I do know there are many millions of us who appreciated Douglas Adams, and I'd like to meet a few of the ones that are local to the LA area to commemorate his life and to mourn his passing, and to proudly flaunt our towels so that when people ask "why are you carrying that thing?" we can tell the exactly what it means, and continue to spread the genius that Douglas Adams was, and maybe even encourage some people to donate to Save The Rhino or the Dian Fosse Gorilla Fund in his name. If there is an "official" LA Towel Day get together, and anyone who knows about it happens to read this, please email me and let me know, I'd love to be a part of it!
