( 1 of 1 ) Posted by Kakapofan I'm sure you're already out there discovering whether "We apologize for the inconvenience" really is the final message to mankind ... but we wish you hadn't gone so soon. For the last 20 years you've been my favorite writer; you introduced me to kakapos and the vagaries of komodo dragons, re-invented the meaning of life in a way that made more sense then anything I'd seen or read before, and came up with such brilliant ideas as the Babel Fish and Bistromathematics. I wish you were around to see them get realized as I hope they will some day. I'll cherish my autographed copy of HHGTTG and my one email from you (now 7-8 years old), but I'd give both up if you were here still writing and creating a zany yet strangely right world.
