[ Donate : Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Save The Rhino ] <Prev Next> Subject: Re: unanimous ( 9 of 16 ) Posted by Nick Deakin The similarity is not just confined to the initial premise, but also to the style of humour. When I first read the RD books I thought "What a ripoff of HGTTG", but I have to say that RD grew on me. I like the TV series but think the books are superior (usually the case). The HGTTG series was very good - especially the voice of the guide, the perfect combination of relaxed condescension (sp ?) and earnestness. The "computer" graphics are pretty good too (considering they were hand drawn). <Prev Next>
