[ Donate : Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Save The Rhino ] <Prev Next> Subject: Carl Hiaasen ( 2 of 5 ) Posted by Douglas Adams I'd strongly recommend Carl Hiaasen as well. Very funny, wild satire, mostly (in fact maybe all) set in Florida. P.J. O'Rourke gave him a terrific quote - "Better than literature." Click here to see a list of his books (Note that a lot of the titles listed here are collaborations with others. I don't know any of those, but can wholeheartedly recommend any of his solo novels) It's a pity that one of his novels was made into a movie that became a famous slop - Striptease. I didn't see the movie, but the novel - like all of his - was terrific. Which is, of course, no guarantee of a terrific movie. <Prev Next>
