[ Donate : Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Save The Rhino ] <Prev Next> Subject: Re: Randy Newman was robbed! ( 9 of 30 ) Posted by CrazyOne Tyler and crew (Aerosmith) didn't write that song, though. The writer(s) gets the Oscar. Randy Newman was robbed, of course. But let's see, Pleasantville was up for Dramatic Score, right? Hm, Life is Beautiful won that. I wouldn't have suspected anything winning against John Williams scoring a Steven Spielberg film anyway. And A Bug's Life? Not sure on that one. I think the best chance was the song, and strangely enough, there's some controversy I believe over the writing credits of the one from Prince of Egypt that did win. The strangest thing about the awards last night though was the split decision for best director/best picture. That doesn't happen often. <Prev Next>
