There's way too much in this thread for me catch up on, but from something Krissy posted in the Community Forum it seems like this might be of some relevance/interest. It's an interview with Richard Dawkins, he talks briefly about his idea that religion is like a virus. Whether you believe what he's saying or not, it still makes an thought-provoking read.
